Yes, this is 2003 drama, the first K-Drama I watched hesitantly because my mother always talked about it. Later on I found out this one was actually one of the best K-Drama ever made which nowadays lack of.
I've been always a fan of drama where female heroine take a big role. The two leads, Janggeum and Jungho were absolutely a couple made in heaven ㅠㅠ ... Most favorite parts are whenever they both together ♥
Jungho's expressions were always the same. Cool, calm, peaceful, warm, beardy, well in short--no need many acting skills. But that made him perfect here. 하하하~!
History didnt have much to tell about Janggeum, it mentioned her as the only high-ranked female doctor at that time but none else than that. I really want to make the MV, too bad my computer often met errors these days, saving for a new one.
Gosh it needs 10 years after to write something about this drama. XD
ep6-7 :
- janggeum was suspected as a spy by jungho's subordinate but then was released
- janggeum saved jungho after the man being hit by poisonous weapon
ep8 :
- janggeum met jungho at library while delivering letter
- jungho investigated janggeum cases of loosing ingredients in competition
ep9 :
- jungho found out from the spy that the woman who saved her has a golden pheasant that time, also the owner of the trinket
- jungho investigated dukgu's house about the trinket's owner but the couple didnt believe him and refuse to tell the truth
ep15 :
- janggeum made a food for jungho as a present~ seemed delicious.
ep16 :
- janggeum playing with water at the ocean watched by jungho, janggeum told jungho about how her parents died because of her.
- both were chased by enemy but managed to hide and safe.
ep25 :
- jungho asked dukgu to find out trinket's owner
ep26 :
- through her stepmom offered her the trinket, janggeum found out the man she saved was jungho
ep28 :
- jungho found out through dukgu the saviour of his life was janggeum
- jungho chase janggeum to jeju
actually there were quite a lot sweet moments of them both ... cant write them one by one~

min jungho guaranteed himself to die if janggeum failed curing king's illness

- jungho acting cold to janggeum after she being sent to public health center
- janggeum asked jungho to take her away from palace and elope

jungho told in front of the king how his first meeting with janggeum and so on

- jungho competed with the king bet for janggeum's trinket and won by jungho
- jungho asked the king to exile him in turn for appointing janggeum as king's personal physician

- king fell into deep ill and refused janggeum's method of surgery.

- several years later they had a daughter and called back to palace but they refused to stay and continued to live as commoners.
